Krasimir Staykov


Krasimir Staykov (he/him) is a board member of the Kentucky Student Voice Team and formerly served as the Legislative Coordinator for two years. He joined the Team as a freshman in high school and quickly took to the work. He first led the social media team and joined the legislative team in 2018. As the Legislative Coordinator, he led lobbying for equity-oriented state education policies and supported local, student-led policy advocacy. Krasimir also worked on the Coping with COVID study as a Quantitative Lead.

Krasimir has been published in the Washington Post, Rural Assembly, and the Aspen Institute.

Outside of his work with the Kentucky Student Voice Team, Krasimir is the Storytelling Programs Coordinator at Student Voice. He is a first year at the University of Louisville and a 2021 graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington.
