Bio

I am a sophomore at Boyle County High School. I became interested in the Kentucky Student Voice Team when a classmate of mine briefly mentioned it. After surfing through their social media and realizing I resonated with their values of student-led action, I was elated to join in the fun! I began attending The New Edu News Corps virtual meetings, got involved in litigation work, dipped my toes into research, became a SANE coordinator, and recently co-authored an op-ed with other KSVT members.

Outside of KSVT, I am a part of my school’s academic team, speech and debate team, track team, creative writing club, drama club, and the Boyle County Arts Academy. My favorite pastimes include reading, painting, writing, and running, as well as doing my nails and playing board games with my family.

The change I hope to contribute to as a KSVT member is a positive one where students are empowered to acknowledge systemic and current issues that impact their education and are presented with resources to help confront them. I believe that youth are the future; their voices should be heard, and the fight for a better tomorrow is one for them to join.
